star54kar asked me to join as she (inexplicably) loves my writing. :) I thought I'd make a little offering, something I wrote for her for a drabble meme. Not that I'm brown-nosing the mod or anything!
Title: No Time Like The Present
Characters: Teddy Lupin, Harry Potter, cameo by Ginny
Rating: Is there anything more innocent than G?
Summary: Of 119 words? Harry and Teddy sit down for a heart-to-heart
"What's the matter, Teds, you look downright fidgety." Harry pats his eleven year old godson on the back.
"It's Gram, Uncle Harry, she's got me scared. Again." The boy won't meet his eye.
"Oh really?" Harry exchanges a look with his very pregnant wife. "Do you want to talk about it?"
Teddy mutters something, and Harry fights to keep a straight face. "Could you say that one more time, there, Tedster, I didn't quite hear you."
The boy's hair shifts from blonde to orange to deep red. "She says... if I playwithittoomuch itllfalloff."
Ginny quickly leaves the room, "Baby's kicking at me," although they hear her laughing in the kitchen.
"Oh Teddy... Sit down. Time for a godfather talk."
