i wish i had found some way to explain the thing with fred's magic better. the way i saw it, fred's magic just gets away from him and the teddy changes.

I don't know if it had to go that far... whooooooo boy, you have no idea! when i first started this, i had it from ron's POV, and i had this whole descriptive section about pincers growing out of teddy's eyes, and spindly, black legs ripping through teddy's seams, then all of those legs wrapped around ron's little shoulders...

'tramatizing' wouldn't have even come close.
