How is it possible for me to feel bad for Bellatrix???

I've stopped bothering to ask that of myself. There are all kinds of ways you could spin the answer to this question, but the only one that matters to me is that her character dynamic works for me. The starting idea wasn't even my own XD. But when I started to write...well. It worked. Still does, even when I just want to round up all the characters and shoot them ;)
