You couldn't have known any of that from the story. That was only in my own mind. You can tell a little bit because Madam Malkin is still not convinced that Spinner should have the robes while she's sewing them. Ron made a deal with her which she will agree to. She was stubborn and wouldn't agree with him.

I think Ron is avery lovable character. I can say that as an outside observer because I don't usually ship him or write him.
