I'm glad you liked that I had Ron help her. Hermione would have been less successful I think.

Hermione will be frustrated and upset. She might go to another store to by her robes, but I don't think Ron will let her organize a boycott. To be honest I think other store owners would have treated Spinner the same way. Ron called in favors and offered her favors as a fellow business owner to get her to allow Spinner to purchase a robe. Ron didn't really use political or civil rights arguments. He used the personal touch and reminded her of times he helped her as a fellow member of the chamber of commerce and also offered to help her again. He traded on some favors. Ron isn't a political kind of man just a kind one who has been very influenced by Hermione.
