Finally, I spell it "Asteria" because that's how JKR spelled it on the Weasley Family Tree.

I have decided to extend our Colin Creevey challenge into the month of June.

Therefore stories for our challenge during the month of June should be centered around the character, Colin Creevey.

Please remember that submissions for past challenges are always welcome here at hp_misfitfics. You may find a list of our past Challenges of the Month here.

Please be sure to take note of the challenge rules below before entering your submission for the challenge.


Challenge Rules

You may interpret the challenge prompt in any way that you wish.

There is no word minimum or maximum- feel free to write as much or a little as you wish.

All submissions for this challenge must be in accordance with the community rules for hp_misfitfics.

Please be sure to list the title of your story in the Subject Line.

In your header information (by header information, I'm referring to the section where you list your title, summary, warnings, author's notes, etc), you must state that your story was written for: The Colin Creevey challenge at hp_misfitfics.

While we ask that you please try to post your entry here at hp_misfitfics during the month of June, this is intended to be a very low pressure challenge and submissions for past challenges will always be welcome and accepted.

Important Announcement from your Friendly Neighborhood Mod!

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I've posted a note, and I just wanted to go over a few things:)

First of all, I'm very proud to report that our community continues to thrive and to grow! I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of the new members who have joined us over the last couple of months and to thank all of our wonderful gen fic authors who have contributed their work for our enjoyment.

I'd also like to go over an important matter of business. I have noticed that an increasingly large number of our contributing authors have not been properly tagging their work when they post to the community. The tags are an invaluable organizational tool in terms of helping the readers of this community find stories to read that suit their interests as well as giving the authors who post here an opportunity to find more exposure to some of their less recent work.

Now for a while, I used to simply go in and add the appropriate tags to entries that the author neglected to tag. I'm afraid that while that system worked when our community was small, with the growth of our community it has simply become unrealistic for me to go in and tag the work of everyone who has been neglecting to do so lately.

As a result I have to ask all of our authors to please be sure to tag your fics when you post to this community. It only takes a moment to do, and will help to keep our community organized. Please tag the important character(s) featured in your story, the appropriate genre(s), and the rating of your fic. Also, if you are submitting a story for one of our challenges, it is extremely important for you to remember to use the appropriate challenge tag as well. If for some reason you need a tag for a character that is not already available, simply let me know and I will be happy to create it for you.

I'd also like to remind members that if you would like to search through the fics of a specific author here at hp_misfitfics that you can do so by visiting our memories section.

As always, I encourage you all to continue to support the growth of our community. If one of your friends has written a piece of gen fic, please encourage them to post it here. Banners are available to you should you wish to promote our community or any of our Challenges of the Month at any time.

Thank you to all of you for continuing to make hp_misfitfics such a wonderful community, and I look forward to seeing all of the wonderful gen fic that is still to come!
